How does Xen LED light therapy work?

Also known as photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), it is a non-thermal and pain-free energy exchange between the light energy and receptors in the cells that can absorb the light energy. Better cellular energy helps offset the ageing process brought on by cell degeneration.

Blue LED is primarily used in the treatment of acne. Blue LED works to fight off and destroy P.acnes, the  bacteria that causes acne in the skin . It is also proven effective in reducing pore size and balancing sebum production.

Red LED accelerates cell renewal and repair by stimulating fibroblasts to form collagen and elastin.  It is clinically proven to increase the body’s natural form of cellular energy (ATP) which kickstarts cells to regenerate faster. The red wavelength is the colour of choice for general skin rejuvenation. 

NIR LED (near infrared) wavelength has even more photobiostimulatory effects.
